Oxford Lindy Exchange Music

We have always been proud to book some of the finest Swing and Blues acts in the UK to play at Oxford Lindy Exchange. OLX 2026 will be no different and we can’t wait to dance the weekend away to this year’s stonking bands.

Corina Kwami & The Swing Selection

Back for her second OLX, Corina Kwami brings her band which has dazzled international festivals and UK dance scenes alike. As a swing dancer herself, Corina knows how to put together an inspiring, energetic and diverse show, adapting to what’s happening on the dance floor and blending rhythms routed in movement and story-telling.

Ewan Bleach & The Fleeting Paradise Orchestra

Saturday night is Big Band night! The Fleeting Paradise Orchestra plays arrangements of jazz and blues numbers from the ‘territory’ bands of late 20s and early 30s America, such as Benny Moten, Charlie Johnson, Fess Williams and Duke Ellington, as well as original compositions and arrangements by Ewan himself. Ewan is a clarinetist, saxophonist, pianist, singer, bandleader, composer, teacher and session musician, and loves playing for dancers.

The Night Shift with Ma Bessie

Building on her passion for the Empress of the Blues, Julia Titus started to perform as Ma Bessie in mid-2015 to share the music of Bessie Smith and her contemporaries with a new generation of listeners. Mixing Julia’s rich, warm vocal sound with a dynamic group of musicians that look as well as sound the part, Ma Bessie’s band combines classic blues and jazz tunes from the inter-war years with a selection of original songs and hand-picked covers from the last 50 years of popular music.

We’re thrilled to welcome Ma Bessie back to OLX!

Duncan Hemstock & His All Stars

Duncan Hemstock is a clarinet and saxophone player from Adelaide, Australia, who specializes in playing swing music from the 1930s. He frequently travels across the UK, Europe, and beyond, playing for dancers at Lindy Hop festivals, bringing his joy for life and music to every performance. Backed by a collection of some of London’s finest Swing musicians – affectionately known as The All Stars – Duncan will bring the vibes of Benny Goodman, Count Basie and Duke Ellington to the Sunday Tea Dance.

Plus, you will not want to miss their jazz history taster beforehand, where they take a guided stroll through the history of Jazz, starting with gospel music, marches and early jazz before finding their way to Boogaloo, Bossa Nova and Soul. A little taste of something for everyone.
